photography: Self taught, Matthew began taking photography seriously as a student - working as photographic editor for several student publications. During this time Matthew got the opportunity to photograph the Dalai Lama and the Duchess of York as well the usual mix of protests, events and local news. In 2007 Matthew had a photograph exhibited alongside contemporary artists including Tracy Emin, The Chapman Brothers and Peter Blake in London's Institute of contemporary art. Matthew's image 'Endless possibilities' was the winner of a national competition to shoot a photo based on the theme 'Tomorrow' on a mobile phone.
